Being a member of the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce puts you in the position to easily connect with the best of the best of our business community. Nothing is better than establishing strong business relationships and conducting business with your fellow chamber members. We offer a number of opportunities to do just that.

¦ Networking at Noon: 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at The Wyvern Hotel, 101 E. Retta Esplanade, Punta Gorda – This is for members only. Reservations and meal selection are required. Call us at 941-627-2222 or RSVP at www.charlottecountychamber.org.

¦ Third Wednesday Coffee: 8-9 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center, 75 Taylor St., Punta Gorda – Guest speaker Charlotte County Administrator Hector Flores will present his State of the County address. This is also a members-only event. Coffee sponsor is GulfView Medical Institute. The chamber’s newest members will be introduced.

¦ Business Card Exchange: 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 23 at Bellissi Belle Blowdry Bar, 2686 Tamiami Trail, Suite 1A, Port Charlotte (next door to the chamber office) – Bring a gift to promote your business and don’t forget to bring plenty of business cards. This is for members only.

¦ Ribbon cuttings: These are a fun way to meet the business owners (and fellow chamber members) in an informal atmosphere and to start developing those great connections. Plus, you get familiar with their products and services provided. All are welcome. If your schedule allows, please take the time to show your support and attend these upcoming ribbon cuttings:

Florida Consumer Off Lease Auto Brokers – 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at 474 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte. Refreshments will be served.

Phoenix on Site – 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 15 (immediately follow our Third Wednesday Coffee), at 75 Taylor St., Punta Gorda.

Suncoast One Title & Closings (new Punta Gorda location) – 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at 103 W. Marion Ave., Suite 101, Punta Gorda.

Carpenter Homes – 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at 1804 Tamiami Trail, Suite E-3, Port Charlotte. Come enjoy snacks and cake.

Leadership Charlotte Class of 2022 “’80s Glow Gala” – 7-11 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Lions Den at Kings Gate Golf Club in Port Charlotte. You don’t want to miss this glow-in-the-dark evening of dancing, dinner, drinks, auctions, music and more, all to benefit Guardian Ad Litem, the Family Services Center, Charlotte Behavioral Health Care, and the Animal Welfare League. Lunch & Learn – Noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at the chamber office, 2702 Tamiami Trail – Brad Swezey of JustSmallBiz Marketing will present “Nine Marketing Secrets for Small Businesses.” Lunch is included in the $10 registration fee.
