Allegiant seeking 100 employees to serve Punta Gorda Airport

Allegiant Air announced it will host a series of hiring events throughout April and May in Charlotte County, in order to fill 100 positions at Punta Gorda Airport.

These positions include customer service agents, gate operations agents, passenger assistance and operations agents, and aircraft cleaners, as well as full-time leads for counter, gate, ramp, bag room and commissary. Hourly wages range from $13-17, with full-time employees eligible for quality medical, dental and vision plans.

In addition, Allegiant employees and their eligible dependents fly free on the airline, and qualify for heavily discounted fares on many partner airlines worldwide. The company also pays twice-yearly profit-sharing bonuses to all employees. Other benefits include a 401K match with immediate vesting, employee stock purchase plan and tuition reimbursement.

Job seekers are encouraged to bring their résumés and positive attitudes. The job fairs are open to the entire community, but applicants must be 18 or older.

Hiring events will be held at Career- Source Southwest Florida, 3745 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, at the following days and times:

• 3-5 p.m. April 26
• 9-11 a.m. April 27
• 3-5 p.m. May 10
• 9-11 a.m. May 11
• 3-5 p.m. May 24
• 9-11 a.m. May 25
